Role Description

As the Lausanne Movement helps focus the global church on what the task of world evangelization looks like as 2050 comes into view, effective use of data and digital systems is increasingly important to how Lausanne understands and serves its global network, supports its programs and gatherings, and equips teams across the Movement.

The Data and Systems Specialist will support the effective use and careful handling of data across Lausanne. Working under the direction of the Data and Technology Lead , this role will help maintain Lausanne's data systems, implement integrations and automated workflows, provide reporting and analysis, and support teams in making effective use of organizational data.

Note: This is a full-time position and may be located anywhere in the world where there is a reliable internet connection and sufficient flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated competency with databases, CRM systems, data integrations, reporting, and related data technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of SQL or similar query languages.
• Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets.
• Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, automation platforms, and system integrations.
• Experience with CRM platforms; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with email marketing, registration, event, or constituent management systems.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively and responsibly, with an openness to emerging technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments.
• Ability to document technical processes clearly and consistently.
• Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
• Skilled at building relationships and collaborating across departments, cultures, and time zones.
• Experience handling confidential information with appropriate security, discretion, and respect.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Curious, teachable, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies and ways of working.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant professional experience in data, analytics, CRM administration and reporting.
• 2+ years of experience working with APIs and tools such as Salesforce, Google Workspace, SQL, data visualization platforms, automation/integration tools, and project management systems is preferred.
• Experience working within a multinational organization or international nonprofit environment preferred.

• This position may require a small amount of global travel.
• The Data and Systems Specialist works closely with the Data and Technology Lead and collaborates with teams across the Lausanne Movement.
• This position can be located anywhere in the world, provided there is a reliable internet connection and flexibility to work with colleagues across multiple time zones.
• The position involves regular collaboration with globally distributed staff, contractors, partners, and volunteers.
