Role Description

The Data and Analytics Director will drive improved decision-making across the Minerals Executive Team and their business areas through strategic data and analytics leadership and support.

Provide strategic direction and leadership in data and analytics to support the Executive Team and business areas in making informed decisions.
Lead the Divisional Data Governance Team to develop and implement standardized global data governance processes.
Oversee the Enterprise Performance Management Team to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Utilize big data analytics to address customer prioritization and capacity considerations, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with the IT function to enhance data infrastructure and ensure seamless integration of data analytics tools and processes.
Engage with key stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytical solutions.
Develop and monitor performance metrics to measure the impact of data and analytics initiatives on business outcomes.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in data and analytics practices, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in data and analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in big data analytics tools and platforms, data governance frameworks, and enterprise performance management systems.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data and analytics.
