[Hiring] Data Analyst @OpenDor Media

Role Description

OpenDor Media is searching for a Data Analyst to cover a 6-month maternity leave, with the option to stay on long term, and keep the numbers our teams and funders rely on accurate, current and easy to use. You will answer data requests, build Looker Studio dashboards for fundraising, Unpacked for Educators, ConnectED and Amplified, and make sure the data in our BigQuery warehouse matches its sources. Every number you get right ends up in a real decision, a funder report, or a program that reaches more people.

What you'll own

• Reporting and analysis: Answer data requests from fundraising, department heads and leadership, prepare the analysis behind organization-wide and grant reporting, and turn recurring asks into standing reports.
• Dashboards: Build and improve the Looker Studio dashboards teams use to track their own performance, including cross-divisional KPI views, and help colleagues find answers on their own.
• Data quality: Validate BigQuery tables and metrics against their source platforms, diagnose reporting bugs, and build corrected versions in the analytics layer for the warehouse team to apply.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in data analytics, business intelligence or a related role.
• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfortable writing SQL in BigQuery or a similar cloud warehouse, including validating data across sources and schema design.
• Work confidently in Looker Studio or similar BI tools, advanced Excel, and a CRM, ideally Salesforce.
• Experience using AI tools like Claude in day-to-day analytical work.
• Analytical, organized, and good at seeing a project through from request to delivery.
• Ability to explain what the numbers mean to technical and non-technical people alike.
• Curious and self-motivated.
• Available full time for a 6-month maternity cover, with the option to continue long term, working remotely with no travel required.

Salary

Our target salary range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000 annually for a U.S.-based candidate. The final salary will be determined based on careful consideration of several factors, including the candidate's location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications above.
