Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with strong testing skills to analyze data, validate data quality, and test data pipelines, reports, and dashboards. You will work with business and technical teams to make sure the data is accurate, complete, and reliable for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to find trends, issues, and insights
• Write and run complex SQL queries to validate and reconcile data
• Create test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for data and reports
• Perform data validation, ETL/data pipeline testing, and source-to-target mapping checks
• Test dashboards and reports (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) for accuracy
• Identify, log, and track defects, and work with developers to resolve them
• Perform regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support
• Document business requirements, data mappings, and test results
• Work with Agile teams and join sprint planning, reviews, and standups
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience as a Data Analyst with hands-on data testing or QA
• Strong SQL skills (joins, subqueries, CTEs, aggregations, window functions)
• Experience with ETL and data warehouse testing
• Experience writing test cases and performing data validation and reconciliation
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Strong understanding of data quality, data profiling, and data integrity
• Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field

Preferred Skills

• Python or other scripting for data analysis and test automation
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and tools like Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Data Factory
• Experience with automated data testing tools
• Exposure to banking, healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance practices
