[Hiring] Confirmed Data Analyst @Blablacar

Role Description

You will join a small team of data analysts and engineers operating independently of other products at BlaBlaCar and contributing actively to the data and software development of the product. This can include Insights, our reporting solution for B2G and B2B customers, matching of driver and passengers and carpool features, as well as new features to support the needs of our members, partners and local collectivities.

Our Data services are organised following Data Mesh principles, distributing data ownership to domain-specific teams that manage, own, and serve the data as a product. The Data Daily team’s mission is to be a strategic partner that delivers value by monetizing data products & bringing efficiencies across teams.

• Influence user experience and partner promotion of carpooling
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Software Engineers and customer-facing teams
• Work closely with other Data Analysts, Software Engineers and Product Managers
• Belong to the Analytics Chapter, an internal community of 25+ analysts

Responsibilities

• Own the entire data product lifecycle, from collaborating with stakeholders to define and document core KPIs
• Design robust data models (using dbt) and implement business logic with clean, efficient SQL
• Infuse a data-informed mindset to our Business and Product strategy
• Provide actionable insights on user behavior during Product discovery and delivery
• Oversee Product experimentation: design AB test protocols, analyze impact, and communicate results
• Build, improve, and maintain self-service Tableau dashboards
• Proactively identify and automate data processes to enhance operational efficiency
• Design and architect data models in the data warehouse (using dbt)

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience working as a Data Analyst
• Excellent command of SQL
• Experience working with our stack: Airflow / BigQuery / GCP / Tableau
• Experience with data transformation tools (preferably dbt)
• Understanding of Python for data analysis, demonstrated by experience with libraries like Pandas and NumPy
• Solid understanding of applied statistics, including descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and principles of experimental design
• Proficiency in data visualization tools
• Experience in synthesizing and communicating data clearly
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically
• Results-driven and impact-oriented mindset
• Fluent in English

• 30-min video-call with Antoine Lancesseur, Lead Product Manager in the Daily team
