Role Description

As a Category Insights Analyst , you will be a crucial analytical and insights resource for our clients with <$20M+ in retail sales in a specific regional sales market. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Accelerating information delivery
• Streamlining processes
• Providing key insights, reporting, forecasting, and sales planning support
• Conducting post-promotional analytics and providing pricing recommendations

A significant aspect of your role will involve:

• Collecting, analyzing, and reporting information using various tools and data sets (i.e. NIQ, Circana, retailer, shipment, etc.)
• Collaborating with internal and external clients to identify data reporting needs
• Conducting business data analysis
• Creating both ad hoc and standardized reports to facilitate actionable insights

You will be regarded as the subject matter expert in consumption data for your assigned clients and may also be involved in developing or implementing tools to enhance processes for capturing business data and maintaining data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Professional certification in category management a plus)
• Less than 1 year experience in relevant field (Consumer Packaged Goods experience preferred)
• No travel requirements

Requirements

• Strong analytics, interpretive, and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
• Working knowledge of syndicated scan data and business reporting applications
• Experience using data visualization tools
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and v-lookups; aptitude for learning relational databases and multi-dimensional data tools
