[Hiring] Business Intelligence Lead @Humana

Role Description

The Provider Data Business Intelligence Lead is an experienced data analytics and business intelligence professional responsible for advancing provider data transparency, governance, operational enablement, automation, controls, and performance measurement. You will lead the collection, integration, analysis, visualization, and interpretation of complex data, including:

• Provider information
• Customer service data
• Claims data
• Enrollment data
• Operational information

The goal is to produce actionable business insights that support enterprise strategy and improve consumer and provider experiences.

This position is critical to strengthen data stewardship and controls, reducing process inefficiency, inconsistent performance, and increasing automation. The position will also identify and advance value-driven automation strategies, including:

• Artificial intelligence
• Robotic process automation
• Automated quality controls
• Other operational enablement solutions

Key accountabilities include:

• 40%: Lead automation and workflow enablement initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce manual work through process modification, AI, RPA, bots, and automated toolsets.
• 25%: Lead data stewardship and governance for provider data by defining, validating, monitoring, and documenting data journeys, business rules, quality standards, and controls.
• 20%: Conduct complex data analysis to support business operations, leadership requests, audits, investigations, and strategic initiatives.
• 15%: Develop required reporting, including business intelligence dashboards, visualizations, scorecards, and executive-level reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in data analytics, business intelligence, information systems, healthcare, business, statistics, computer science, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or analytics
• Advanced experience working with large, complex enterprise datasets
• Strong ability to analyze data, create visualizations, and generate insights that solve business problems and inform strategy
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, and related analytical tools
• Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar platforms
• Ability to translate business needs into technical/reporting requirements and partner across cross-functional teams
• Experience documenting requirements, data definitions, and reporting logic
• Working knowledge of healthcare data and strong executive-level written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and support continuous improvement of consumer, provider, and operational experiences
• Advanced analytics skills, including predictive analytics, forecasting, data mining, statistical modeling, and development of healthcare analytics solutions
• Knowledge of automation capabilities, including AI, RPA, bots, automated data quality, reconciliation, controls, and remediation tools
• Ability to partner effectively with IT, data engineering, architecture, compliance, operations, vendors, and stakeholders across modern cloud, data warehouse, data lake, and analytics environments
• U.S. citizenship required for this position due to Department of Defense Contract
• Successfully receive approval for government security clearance (Via National Background Investigation Services NBIS)
• HGB is not authorized to do work in Puerto Rico per our government contract

Requirements

• Experience working with healthcare operational data, including provider, claims, enrollment, and customer service data
• Strong understanding of data governance, stewardship, lineage, data quality management, and reporting controls
