Role Description
Hillenbrand is advancing its Business Intelligence capabilities, and we’re looking for a BI Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-impact data solutions. In this role, you’ll shape the way we integrate and transform raw data into actionable insights, driving business strategy through robust data models, reports, and dashboards.
- Oversee the full BI development lifecycle
- Optimize ETL processes
- Ensure data integrity and security
- Mentor junior team members
- Support key BI initiatives like POM and modernization
- Enhance analytics capabilities and accelerate BI programs
- Empower business users with insights for informed decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, or data architecture roles, specifically within the Microsoft tech stack
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting
- Extensive experience with SQL Server, including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL processes and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) for data modeling
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Factory for data integration and Azure SQL Database for cloud-based data storage
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques and methodologies (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) within the Microsoft ecosystem
- Experience with cloud-based BI solutions and data storage (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- English language proficiency is required
Requirements
- Design and architect scalable BI solutions that effectively integrate data from disparate IT source systems
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI architecture
- Oversee the development and optimization of ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Create and maintain data models that support reporting and analytics needs, ensuring data integrity and security
- Develop and implement dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business users
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices in data management
- Evaluate and recommend BI tools and technologies to enhance the organization’s analytics capabilities
- Participate in BI projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior BI team members and other stakeholders
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence and data analytics
