Role Description
The Business Analyst III is responsible for understanding and properly capturing the stakeholder’s business rules, and market/functional priorities to effectively recognize inconsistencies and gaps in complex business processes, identify business problems, assess proposed solutions, and represent the needs of stakeholders in a SAFe LPM framework and lifecycle tools.
- Excel in all areas of requirements analysis, leveraging appropriate company and industry approaches and modeling techniques.
- Gather requirements for projects in order to document them according to corporate standards and procedures, and prioritize them for assigned areas.
- Provide guidance, recommendations, and mentor other business analysts on approaches and practices that improve delivery of business requirements.
- Maintain group focus, lead meetings toward stated goals, and manage group dynamics toward successful completion of requirements development.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, review, acceptance, prioritization, validation sessions, and decomposition of requirements into work efforts.
- Demonstrate ability to build, sustain, and leverage professional business relationships when gathering, validating, and approving requirements.
- Demonstrate understanding of stakeholders' business culture and priorities.
- Proficient in all areas, frameworks, and models of requirements planning, development, and management.
- Effectively maintain requirements traceability throughout an initiative and/or requirements lifecycle.
- Assist agile and development teams in understanding and elaborating requirements.
- Ensure adherence of requirements to appropriate wrappers such as Journey, Value Stream, Business Capability, Epic, Feature, Acceptance Criteria, User Story, etc.
- Assist the project team in identifying and resolving scope, schedule, and resource issues.
- Perform functional impact analysis and estimate the impact of change requests on timelines, budgets, resources, and project scope.
- Identify sources of requirements, possible interfaces, and affected lines of business.
- Perform any other job duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience is required.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in requirements management is required.
- Healthcare delivery and/or payer industry experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word as well as ADO.
- Demonstrates applicable practical and experiential knowledge.
- Demonstrates fundamental awareness and understanding of basic business analysis skills and knowledge.
- Knowledge of IT development cycle and Agile Framework.
- Thorough understanding of business analysis principles, process, and applications/elicitation tools used for managing requirements.
- Thorough understanding of a project lifecycle, including processes, techniques, and tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Effective listening and critical thinking skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Time management skills, ability to develop, prioritize, and accomplish goals with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to multi-task and remain flexible during organizational and/or business changes.
- Customer service oriented.
Licensure and Certification
- IIBA, Six Sigma, ITIL, and/or Agile, Lean, SAFe Certifications preferred.
Working Conditions
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Compensation Range
$81,400.00 - $130,200.00. CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
