Role Description

PhoenixTeam is seeking a Business Analyst to support a modernization initiative within a federal client looking to expand AI-enabled capabilities. The Business Analyst will:

• Gather and document requirements.
• Analyze current-state workflows.
• Support the transition to real-time, automated data exchange that reduces administrative friction and manual processing for Federal customer staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT modernization, systems integration, or software delivery projects.
• Mortgage, fintech, or other regulated industry experience (preferred, not required — willingness to learn quickly is essential).
• Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, including user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with API-based integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft) and cloud/serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda).
• Experience facilitating stakeholder working sessions and translating business needs into actionable requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance / favorable suitability determination.

Requirements

• Experience supporting Federal customer programs or other federal government agencies.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Agentforce, or similar CRM/AI-agent platforms.
• Experience with FedRAMP.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
