[Hiring] Business Analyst @Expleo

Role Description

• Requirements & Analysis
  • Elicit, analyse, and document business and technical requirements for:
    • Payment flows (authorisation, capture, settlement, refunds, reconciliation)
    • RESTful APIs and integration points
    • Backend services and data processing
    • Merchant onboarding, MIDs, and acquirer integrations
  • Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mappings.
  • Work closely with architects and developers to ensure requirements are technically feasible and aligned with the solution design.
• Scrum Team Collaboration
  • Partner with the Product Owner to refine and prioritise the product backlog.
  • Participate fully in Scrum ceremonies: stand ups, sprint planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives.
  • Provide ongoing clarification to developers and testers throughout the sprint.
  • Contribute to the team’s Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
• Documentation & Modelling
  • Produce and maintain:
    • API specifications and interface definitions
    • Business process models (BPMN or similar)
    • Sequence diagrams and integration contracts
    • Data mapping and transformation documentation
  • Support QA in defining test scenarios and validating requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly way.
  • Manage expectations around scope, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with acquirers, processors, fraud providers, and compliance teams.
• Compliance & Risk
  • Ensure requirements align with:
    • PCI DSS standards
    • Secure data handling practices
    • Regulatory and audit requirements
  • Support risk identification and mitigation activities.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of:
  • REST APIs, JSON, XML
  • Event driven and message based integrations
  • Payment gateway architecture and transaction flows
  • Merchant accounts, MIDs, acquirer relationships
• Ability to interpret API documentation and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
• Familiarity with tools such as:
  • Azure DevOps (for backlog and requirements management)
  • Postman or similar API tools
• Domain Knowledge
  • Experience in payments, e-commerce, or financial services.
  • Understanding of card schemes, acquirers, and settlement processes.
  • Knowledge of fraud, chargebacks, and reconciliation workflows.
