Role Description

The Business Analyst at Secure Self Storage serves as a critical link between our IT capabilities and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks of our software product's features.

• Defines configuration specifications and business analysis requirements.
• Performs quality assurance, ensures solutions meet business needs and requirements.
• Maintains, organizes, and streamlines operational and reporting processes.
• Analyzes complex business problems and assesses how automated systems can be implemented to solve them.
• Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems, applications, and industry requirements.
• Operates as a liaison between technical personnel and the appropriate end-user department.
• Develops and performs tests on systems and modifies tests as necessary.
• Provides technical guidance concerning business implications of application development projects.
• Identifies and communicates risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• The ability to create detailed process maps and write detailed specifications.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Familiarity with business information systems (BI).
• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
• A track record of following through on commitments.
