Role Description
We are seeking a Big Data Engineer for a W2 contract position. This role is remote and requires a strong background in software development.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software development
- Understanding of Spark (preferred but not a must)
- Proficiency in Scala and Java (most important skills)
- Hands-on experience with cloud (GCP highly preferred)
Requirements
- Development experience in Python or coding (nice to have)
- Open source contributions (nice to have)
- Experience in data pipeline tools like Airflow, Nifi, etc. (nice to have)
- Good understanding of different data models (Relational, Graph, Document, etc.)
- Coding language - Java preferred
