[Hiring] Associate Director, Product Data Science @Spring Health

Role Description

This role involves guiding and growing the product data science team at Spring Health, primarily focusing on leadership, team enablement, and cross-functional strategy.

• Work with R&D leaders to set the vision for how product data science drives growth, especially in acquisition and activation funnels.
• Partner with Product, Design, and other R&D teams to refine and align on our metric tree.
• Design and continuously refine how the product data science team operates within R&D.
• Manage and develop a team of data scientists supporting multiple areas within R&D.
• Work with your team and cross-functional partners to design and maintain experimentation and measurement frameworks.
• Collaborate with Data Analytics and Analytics Engineering to ensure consistent implementation of the metric tree and core growth KPIs.

Qualifications

• Passionate about changing the face of mental health care.
• Substantial experience (typically 10+ years) working with data in analytics or data science roles.
• Experience (typically 3+ years) managing and mentoring data scientists or product analysts.
• Deep experience using experimentation to drive growth.
• Comfortable owning and refining a metric tree / KPI hierarchy.
• Fluent in growth thinking and familiar with mapping acquisition and activation funnels.
• Experience using modeling and causal inference to identify key metrics.
• Comfortable diving into SQL and Python code when needed.
• Experience working with a modern data stack.
• Strong user and stakeholder empathy.
• Humble, highly motivated, and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
