Role Description
This role involves working as an AI and Data Analytics Intern within World Vision's global IT department.
- Participate in a three-month internship opportunity for talented students and recent graduates.
- Engage in meaningful learning experiences to grow and gain valuable skills.
- Collaborate with various groups to ensure ethical and impactful data and AI practices.
- Spot risks and prioritize key areas within World Vision International’s data landscape.
- Experiment with AI and generative AI to uncover risks and benefits.
- Champion best practices in data analysis and manage World Vision’s data platform.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct pilots using Microsoft Copilot 365 and ChatGPT.
- Compile and assess data on AI tool use and pilot participant feedback.
- Use data visualisation tools to present AI pilot findings, insights, and patterns.
- Work with the team to make data-driven recommendations for AI implementation.
- Conduct research on emerging AI trends and technologies.
- Help develop, refine, and test AI learning content and communications.
- Organise materials for World Vision’s AI champions/AI community of practice platforms.
- Provide support for other AI, data, and data analytics projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Initiative and attention to detail: Self-starter with a keen eye for detail.
- AI experience: Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar Gen-AI tools.
- Data proficiency: Ability to understand and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Collaborative team player: Thrives in a virtual environment and works well with others.
- Independence and time management: Comfortable working independently to achieve project goals.
- Clear communication: Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Responsibility and enthusiasm: Responsible, responsive, and enthusiastic about work and learning.
- Commitment to our mission: Demonstrated commitment to World Vision's goals and values.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Eligible to work in the United States (US Citizen/resident or F1-student visa).
- Valid US Social Security Number.
- Able to commit to at least 24 hours per week for the internship period: 27 May – 22 August.
- Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate programme (within 2 years).
- Adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.
- Willingness to use own electronic devices for internship purposes.
Benefits
- Unpaid internship with a monthly stipend of $800 for US-based interns.
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available (24-40 hours/week).
