[Hiring] Actuarial Analyst @Independence Pet Group

Role Description

Independence American Insurance Company (IAIC) is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to analyze and evaluate the likelihood of future events to reduce and manage future financial risks.

• Maintains and updates existing models, tools, and other files used for analysis.
• Prepares reserving, forecasting, rate filings, pricing analysis, and experience reports for review.
• Completes ad hoc reporting, as necessary.
• Completes appropriate database work, as necessary.
• Duties are broad in nature, usually requiring discretion and independent judgement.
• Develops actuarial models.
• Assists with the completion of rate filing documents for all states.
• Researches rate filings, as needed.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Accounting, Computer Information Systems, or other quantitative field, or equivalent work experience (two-years relevant experience is equivalent to two-years college).
• Must have passed Two+ Actuarial Exams.

Requirements

• Works independently on moderately complex projects/assignments and seeks guidance on projects/assignments of higher complexity.
• May provide guidance and assistance to subordinate professionals and/or support employees.
