Role Description
This position is a perfect fit for billing professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to make an impact. As a Billing Tech II, you’ll ensure seamless revenue cycle workflows and build lasting confidence among our Members and customers.
- Execute customer-specific revenue cycle workflows in compliance with federal, state, and payer requirements, ensuring optimal collections.
- Tasks include charges, transactions, accounts receivable (AR), patient and payer phone calls, coding, and Electronic Remittance importing and reconciliation.
- Research, analyze, and stay up to date on federal, state, and payer coding and billing requirements.
- Access payer websites and manage rejections, denials, and appeals.
- Collaborate across departments to meet Member and customer needs, driving mutually beneficial solutions.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Tech I team members, contributing to a supportive and knowledgeable team culture.
- Analyze workflows to establish and refine best practices, maintaining expertise in NextGen PM and staying informed on healthcare regulatory updates.
- Proactively participate in committees and workgroups to enhance organizational goals.
- Strive to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of billing experience.
- Expertise with clearinghouses, healthcare portals, and revenue cycle workflows.
- Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with NextGen EPM/EDR or similar platforms.
Requirements
- Experience in FQHC billing.
- Familiarity with NextGen EPM/EDR and/or optical services.
- Proficiency with MS Excel.
- Experience in dental and behavioral health billing.
Benefits
- Full-time remote position, offering flexibility and autonomy.
- Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required based on job demands.
- Minimal travel (5–10 days per year) may be required; exceptions can be accommodated.
