Role Description
The Member Benefits Administration division is looking for a dedicated Chat Trainee to join the MBA Digital Service Team. As a Chat Trainee, you’ll engage with members logged into their bcbst.com online portal or BCBSTN mobile app. In this position, you’ll become an expert in all Commercial group and Individual (ON/OFF Marketplace) Medical policies, with the opportunity to learn the Dental line of business. This position will have a weekly rotating shift starting as early as 8:00 AM EST and working as late at 8:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday. - Receiving, investigating and resolving all customer inquiries timely and accurately.
- Handling customer inquiries and problems via multiple channels, i.e. chat, telephone calls, emails and written correspondence.
- Ensuring all customer communication is professional, grammatically correct, and clearly documented.
- Educating customer to ensure resolution is achieved on first contact.
- Must be able to pass required testing.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in a customer service support role is required
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to talk and type simultaneously in a clear and concise manner while interacting with customers
- Ability to write simple and complex correspondence
