Role Description
This role involves processing claims accurately, applying contract benefits, and providing excellent customer service to ensure timely support in service of creating an economically sustainable health care system.
- Adapt to changing workload, priorities, and system/procedural changes
- Analyze and process claims accurately and timely
- Apply benefits correctly, following established rules and edits
- Complete training and other duties as assigned
- Meet department performance expectations for quality and production
- Maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service
- Ensure clear audit trails and reprocess claims as needed
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of office experience, ideally in health insurance claims or a medical office setting
- Computer experience required, including MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) or equivalent
Requirements
- Basic math skills
- Keyboarding skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Thrive under pressure, meeting deadlines and quality standards
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
