Role Description

One You Surrey is an integrated healthy lifestyle service that delivers free stop smoking support and adult weight management programmes to people in Surrey. It’s a super exciting time to join us as we are continuing to expand our Smoking Cessation support service across Surrey, and we’re looking for a Triage & Support Officer to join us!

Our programme is designed to support residents of Surrey access the support they need to stop smoking. We offer digital, remote or face-to-face behaviour change support, alongside the supply of quit aids, to help people become smokefree.

As a Triage & Support Officer you will join our established team, being the first friendly point of contact for Surrey residents wishing to join our stop smoking service and helping onboard them onto our programme.

A typical day as a Triage and Support Officer might include:

  • Using a variety of systems and approaches to ensure clients get the best, positive and client-centered approach when supporting them through our onboarding process.
  • Offering guidance and support to clients both on the phone and in written format to ensure they are fully informed about our programmes and the support that we provide (training will be provided if successful).
  • Contacting clients daily who wish to start their journey with us, being a friendly, warm and empathetic voice that represents our service positively and correctly recording their information on our bespoke systems accurately and timely.
  • Responding to requests for information from clients, partner organisations and the public.
  • Taking responsibility for your own training and development, that way we can make the biggest impact!
  • Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
  • Ensuring due consideration is given to our Safeguarding, Information Governance and Clinical Governance policies and procedures.
  • Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values!

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Knowledge about healthy lifestyle interventions, such as smoking cessation.
  • Strong attitude and willingness to learn.

Contract

Fixed-term until the end of March 2027 (subject to continued funding), Part Time (22.5 hours per week).

Salary

Starting at £14,871 pro-rata (£24,785 FTE).

Closing Date

The closing date for applications is Friday 1st May. We reserve the right to close the opportunity early should we receive enough qualified applicants. Interviews are likely to take place on Wednesday 6th May and will be online via Microsoft Teams.

Location

This job is remote-based, working from home. However, very occasional travel will be required to Surrey for training and team meetings (no more than once per month). Please only submit an application if you are able to commit to this travel requirement.
