[Hiring] Transportation Specialist @Amazon

Role Description

The Transportation Specialist at NOC (Network Operation Center) facilitates the flow of information between different stakeholders and resolves potential issues impacting customer experience and business continuity.

• Ensures hassle-free, timely pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon fulfillment centers (FC) and from Amazon FCs to carrier hubs.
• Steps in to resolve issues and keeps all stakeholders informed on proceedings.
• Understands trends in network exceptions and proposes process changes to streamline operations.
• Works on Outbound operations, addressing potential issues during the lifecycle of freight.
• Provides timely resolution by researching and querying internal tools and making real-time decisions.
• Communicates clearly in written and oral form.
• Ideates process improvements and drives them to conclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience in communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in Spanish & English.
• Required B1-B2 Certification in Spanish.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, logistics, supply chain.

Requirements

• Ability to pull data from databases using Excel for ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Develop and/or understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results.
• Quickly understand the business impact of trends and make data-driven decisions.
• Systematically escalate problems or variances in information to relevant owners and teams.
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.
• Good communication skills to create narratives outlining weekly findings and variances to goals.
• Provide real-time customer experience in a fast-paced operating environment.
