[Hiring] Senior Specialist, Benefits and Authorization - Specialty RX @Option Care Health

Role Description

The Benefit Verification and Authorization Specialist supports patients referred to Option Care Health to receive specialty medications by completing benefit verification and authorization activities for new referrals with speed and accuracy to enable timely access to care.

• Processes benefit verification or authorization for all new referrals with speed and accuracy.
• Assist AVA Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
• The Senior Specialist will assist lead with team quality audits.
• May assist with new hire onboarding and interview process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in related field with 1 year being in medical/healthcare role involving benefit and/or authorization with multiple payor types.

• Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High degree of self-discipline in maintaining productivity expectations.
• Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.
• Ability to navigate and train to multiple payor portals.
• Ability to engage peers in a positive manner.
