Role Description

The Sr Analyst, Field Service Excellence is responsible for driving strategies and activities to improve Field Service Engineer technical and non-technical competencies within the designated areas. This is a key role joining the area leadership team to serve as the Area owner for training and mentoring, developing and approving mentors through a “train the-trainer” approach while leading mentor user groups and advanced in-person mentoring sessions for FSEs. The Sr Analyst acts as a technical coach through DM huddle consulting, escalation support, and ownership of hot units to identify skill gaps, while continuously expanding technical expertise and driving T&I audits, service manual improvements, and AR-based training content. Establishes standards and best practices across FSE roles—including car stock, time management, and non-technical onboarding—while partnering with senior leadership to close knowledge gaps, support Kaizen initiatives, and strengthen overall field capability.

This position reports to the Area Service Director and is part of the Field Service Organization located within the West area territories and will be working remotely to cover West area territories.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead and manage mentoring programs: Own area mentoring strategy, approve and develop mentors using a train-the-trainer approach, and lead mentor user groups.
• Deliver advanced training and coaching: Conduct quarterly in-person mentoring sessions, provide technical coaching during DM huddles, and support escalations when senior technical resources are unavailable.
• Drive continuous skill and process improvement: Expand technical expertise (e.g., NPL), identify and close knowledge gaps for new hires, and promote best practices in time management and FSE role execution.
• Enhance tools and resources: Develop AR-based training materials, contribute to service manual improvements, maintain standard car stock templates, and perform T&I audits.
• Collaborate and lead improvement initiatives: Partner with senior leadership to identify gaps, support Kaizen activities, and use hot unit analysis to guide mentoring priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 5 years of FSE experience
• Strong soft skills, mentoring/coaching (formal training to be provided, ELDP)
• Internal Bec Dx T3/T4 FSE

Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 70% of the time within assigned area. Will include overnight travel.
• Must live within reasonable distance of a major airport.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
