[Hiring] Recovery Specialist I @Commerce Bank

Role Description

Handle all inbound collection activity for direct deposit accounts, installment loan, and card products.

• Place outbound calls to delinquent direct deposit accounts.
• Review and handle voicemail follow-up and returned mail.
• Move funds using internal systems, such as Universal Maintenance Database.
• Maintain an acceptable level of productivity and quality assurance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 1+ year collections experience required.
• 1+ year post charge-off collections experience preferred.
• Public Notary registration preferred.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of collection management software, such as TSYS, SHAW or DM9.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to problem-solve.
• Ability to ask questions, offer solutions, retain information and apply details to future situations.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values.
• Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
