Role Description

This role involves providing excellent customer support through technical expertise to increase customer and dealer satisfaction with (AGTX/ Governmental Mowing/ Mantis) products.

• Primary contact with local dealers
• Provides equipment repair consultation services
• Responds to technical product directives for troubleshooting, testing, updates, documentation, and field repairs
• Assists sales team through product demonstrations for dealers and customers
• Performs technical training to increase dealer diagnostic competency and decrease warranty claims
• May perform tasks requiring welding, machining, fabrication, and completion of assemblies

This is a remote position with frequent travel, based in the Northeast areas of either Maryland, Delaware, or Virginia.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of farm equipment, construction equipment, or high mechanical aptitude
• Strong personal integrity to perform remote service work to the highest standards
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good human relations skills
• Ability to travel domestically by commercial air carrier and automobile on short notice, including overnight stays; travel approximately 60%
• Must be able to work independently, prioritize work schedule, multi-task, and work under pressure
• Good leadership skills required, ability to problem solve, persuade, and motivate
• Ability to read and use precision measuring devices and equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems in mobile equipment
• Good math skills, technical communication skills, and up-to-date computer skills

Requirements

• Technical College Degree in related field preferred; High school diploma/GED required
• Agricultural, construction, or mobile equipment dealership experience preferred
• 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment environment preferred
• Experience in Deutz engines a plus
• Experience with engineering drawings and engineering software a plus

Working Conditions

• Regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds alone and greater than 35 pounds with assistance
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment while performing work in production environment
• Operates forklift and overhead crane to move parts and materials
• Must have current, insurable driver’s license as this position requires travel to customer locations
• Must be able to work irregular and/or extended hours (including weekends) as needed
• Must present/maintain a professional appearance
• Must be able to travel up to 50% of the year
