[Hiring] Precertification Coordinator @Central Ohio Urology Group

Role Description

To support COUG by providing precertification support for the organization. Responsible for the Company Vision “To be the prominent urology practice in central Ohio, and beyond, with a reputation for delivering excellent and effective care in all urologic modalities. By providing full-service urology to the patients and communities we serve, there will be greater satisfaction as well as patient and physician loyalty which will allow COUG continued success and growth.”

• Coordinates authorizations and benefits with third parties for visits, in office procedures, surgeries and any other treatments that are ordered
• Verifies eligibility and requests authorizations for various medical orders
• Calls patients with benefits for upcoming procedures informing patients of co-pays, deductibles and co-insurances
• Prepares and sends Good Faith Estimates to self pay patients in accordance with the No Surprises Act
• Coordinating with physician, clinical staff, insurances, and patients to obtain the authorization

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience working in a medical practice or medical organization (will substitute educational experience for on the job experience)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of experience in preauthorization approvals and processing in a medical practice or organization
