Role Description

The Christ Hospital Health Network Pre-Services Coordinator provides the highest level of customer service to our patients. This individual understands that this patient interaction often determines the tone for the patients’ healthcare experience.

• Contact with the patient to schedule their ordered services.
• Coordinate pre-service appointments necessary in advance of the ordered service.
• Obtain and enter demographic information from the patient into the computer system.
• Support the care of the patient and the billing process.
• Minimize the amount of information that must be collected when the patient presents for service.
• Collect payment from the patient as determined by the estimate.
• Arrange payment plans as necessary based on the patient’s current financial situation.
• Possess expert knowledge of insurance plans, regulations, and benefits as they relate to the service rendered.
• Explain the patient's cost for the service in a manner that is understandable and agreeable.
• Engage in detailed and sensitive conversations with patients, requiring confidence and compassion.
• Act as the single source of contact for patients regarding scheduling, pre-registration, and healthcare cost needs.

Qualifications
