[Hiring] Patient Service Specialist @Vancouver Clinic

Role Description

Vancouver Clinic is hiring a full-time Patient Service Specialist for our busy Call Center. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. In this role, you’ll:

• Schedule and reschedule appointments
• Assist with initial phone triage
• Verify and update patient information
• Gather details needed for appointments
• Provide helpful directions

Location: The VIC (18110 SE 34th Street – Vancouver, WA 98683)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00a-5:30p

Hiring range is generally between $19.38/hour to $22.20/hour, and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience.

This position is also eligible for the opportunity to participate in the Metric-Based Incentive Compensation Plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Min of two years of experience in either medical office setting or in the health insurance industry strongly preferred
• Experience with multi-line phone system preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle pressure situations while maintaining tact and diplomacy
• Ability to work independently yet operates as an integral part of a team
• Working knowledge of computers and basic software programs

Requirements

• Patient Service Specialist has the potential for off-site work after successful completion of training and meeting the requirements for working off-site
• This requires an employee to live in the local Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR area
• Must have a secure home network with minimum upload (5 mbps) and download speeds (25 mbps)
• This position may require that employees have and maintain an activated smartphone that receives text messaging
• Ability to have a required app such as authenticator apps as some job functions require use of multi-factor authentication (MFA)
• The ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues is an essential function of all positions at the Clinic
