[Hiring] Patient Access Scheduler @Medix

Role Description

We are seeking Patient Access Schedulers to join a growing healthcare scheduling team. In this role, you will make a high volume of outbound calls to patients to schedule diagnostic imaging and radiology services across multiple healthcare facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with healthcare scheduling, patient access, or healthcare call center experience, especially those familiar with Epic.

• Make a high volume of outbound calls to patients
• Schedule diagnostic imaging appointments, including:
  • MRI
  • CT
  • Ultrasound
  • X-ray
  • Mammography
  • Other radiology services
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, referrals, and orders
• Assist with insurance authorization requirements
• Provide patients with exam preparation instructions
• Accurately document scheduling activities and patient interactions
• Work assigned scheduling queues and follow up on outstanding appointments
• Support scheduling needs across multiple healthcare facilities
• Provide professional, empathetic service to patients throughout the scheduling process

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare scheduling or healthcare call center experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and patient communication skills
• Strong computer and data-entry abilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment
• Comfortable making frequent outbound calls
• Epic scheduling experience highly preferred
• Radiology/imaging scheduling experience is a plus
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Requirements

• 8-hour set schedule
• Must be available to work within 8:00 AM-8:00 PM CST
• Some Saturday coverage may be needed
• Candidates must be comfortable supporting facilities across Central and Pacific time zones
