Role Description

GetixHealth is seeking dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Patient Access Representatives to join our growing team! In this role, you will serve as an important point of contact for patients, helping ensure a smooth and accurate registration and scheduling experience. You will assist with:

• Insurance verification
• Patient scheduling
• Pre-registration
• Authorizations
• Financial responsibilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient access, healthcare customer service, patient financial services, medical registration, or a related healthcare environment.
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute (WPM).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with a patient-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering patient and insurance information.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Ability to work the required schedule, including one late shift per week and one Saturday per month.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in patient access, patient registration, or healthcare revenue cycle operations (preferred).
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience verifying medical insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility (preferred).
• Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance authorization processes, and healthcare billing requirements (preferred).
• Experience working with electronic health records (EHR), patient registration systems, or hospital scheduling platforms (preferred).
• Previous experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or patient-facing environment (preferred).
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus (preferred).
• All candidates must demonstrate a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute (WPM).
