Role Description

The Order Entry Clerk at McKee-Nix & Associates, Inc. is an essential part of our customer service and sales team. This position is a crucial liaison between our sales staff, operations team, and valued customers. It is suited to individuals with a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. As an Order Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for:

• Processing and inputting all customer orders received via email, fax, or our electronic order system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Working closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure that all details of the orders, including product specifications, shipping instructions, and delivery timelines, are properly communicated and executed.
• Resolving order discrepancies by liaising with the customer service and sales team, managing these issues to satisfactory resolution.
• Maintaining and updating customer data in the database, ensuring accuracy at all times.
• Participating in regular inventory checks and collaborating with the warehouse team to confirm stock availability.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports on order statuses and communicating relevant information to the management team.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in business administration or a related field will be a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar order entry or administrative support role.
• Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and databases.
• Solid understanding of sales and order processing workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
