Role Description

Are you experienced in medical insurance verification, benefits eligibility, and coverage research? We're seeking dedicated professionals to join our team as a Remote Insurance Verification Specialist, where you'll play a key role in ensuring patients have access to the medications and treatments they need.

Put your expertise in insurance verification, benefit investigations, and payer communication to work from the comfort of your home. In this role, you'll help patients understand their coverage, verify eligibility, and navigate insurance requirements while delivering exceptional customer service.

Must be able to pick up equipment in Irving, TX.

• Position: Insurance Verification & Benefits Eligibility Specialist
• Pay: $17.00/hour + Full-Time Benefits
• Start Dates: October and November
• Remote: Company equipment provided and shipped directly to your home
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, assigned 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM EST
• Must be available to work any assigned shift within operating hours
• Training: Comprehensive paid training and ongoing support

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility for prescription medications and healthcare services.
• Contact commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and specialty insurance plans to obtain accurate coverage information.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurance carriers.
• Accurately document all account activity and insurance information within company systems.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards.
• Meet quality, accuracy, and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pick up equipment in Irving, TX.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Insurance Verification and Benefits Eligibility experience in a healthcare setting (required, no exceptions).
• Strong understanding of:
  • Health insurance verification
  • Benefits investigation
  • HIPAA compliance
• Experience communicating directly with insurance carriers to verify coverage and resolve benefit issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret insurance plans and coverage information accurately.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems and applications simultaneously.
• Dedicated, secure, and distraction-free home workspace.
• High-speed internet with a hardwired modem connection. Hotspots are not permitted.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty pharmacy experience.
• Healthcare call center experience.
• Experience working in high-volume insurance verification or reimbursement environments.
• Knowledge of prescription drug coverage and patient assistance programs.
