Role Description

The Gift Message Check Assistant reviews assigned order details, checks the message against the employer's format rules, and flags issues before the order moves ahead. This remote position is an administrative quality check. You will not rewrite the customer's words to sound better or decide how a disputed order should be handled.

• Review gift-message fields on assigned online orders.
• Check length, characters, recipient, and applicable item.
• Preserve the customer's wording unless a permitted format change is specified.
• Flag unclear recipient or message placement.
• Connect a revised message to the correct order.
• Update an approved status or handoff note for fulfillment.
• Refer sensitive or unusual content under the employer's rules.

No gift-order experience is required. Customer service or office administration background is useful, but training will cover the order system, printing limits, and escalation steps. You should be comfortable reading details closely and asking for clarification before making a change a customer would notice.

This remote order-support work may be scheduled part-time or full-time. A private home office provides a suitable place to review customers’ personal messages.

A personal message belongs with the right order and the right recipient. Compare the approved order reference and message field before making a permitted correction.

• The correct recipient is associated with the message.
• The message fits the approved card or label length.
• The latest customer revision is the one in the order record.
• Special characters are supported by the print system.
• Several items in one order have distinct message assignments.
• The fulfillment status shows whether a change is still possible.

If the order has already moved to packing, route a late change to the fulfillment owner rather than claiming it can be included. A customer may ask to remove a message entirely; follow the approved update process and verify that the revised record saved. Do not print or share a personal note outside the order workflow. The work can be repetitive around holidays, and that is exactly when careful recipient checks matter most.

A message can also include a name to appear on the outside of a package. Treat that as a separate field from the private card text. If the recipient and purchaser are different, check the order's approved instructions before sending a clarification.

A correction may come through a customer email after the original order; link it to the correct order and note whether fulfillment has acknowledged the change. This ensures the right version travels with the item, not just the support case.
