Role Description

Educators Rising is seeking a motivated and professional Part-time Customer Service Associate to join its membership team. This position plays a vital role in supporting current and prospective members by delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive member experience. The Membership Associate is responsible for improving the customer experience by delivering exceptional service, accurate information, and prompt escalation as needed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, service-focused, and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

This part-time, remote position requires the selected candidate to be available for at least 20 hours per week between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern Time.

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams; experience with Adobe products and project management platforms is a plus.
• Self-starter who embraces innovation, continuous improvement, and organizational change.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Requirements

• Provide prompt high-quality customer service to membership-related inquiries via phone and email.
• Provide information about membership benefits, renewals, and processes.
• Resolve member issues and escalate concerns to the Director of Membership or Membership Manager when necessary.
• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including chapter and student leaders, state coordinators, and teacher leaders.
• Review and approve Teacher Leader applications.
• Maintain and update member records in the membership database.
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on strategies to improve membership services.
• Assist in processing shipments and mailing of membership materials, as needed.
• Support office staff as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Compensation of $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience.
