Role Description

Responsible for analyzing, resolving, expediting, and coordinating the processing of telephone and written inquiries. Providing job and unit specific coaching for customer service advocates, processors and/or examiners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma OR GED.
• 2 years customer service experience in a health care or insurance environment.
• Experience evaluating customer situations, making decisions, and responding quickly to questions.
• Knowledge of HCSC’s customer issue protocols and ability to coach lower-level Customer Advocates.
• Experience handling escalated customer issues from lower-level Customer Advocates.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Data entry and/or typing experience.

Requirements

• 3 years customer service experience (preferred).
• 2 years data entry experience in an office environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of Managed Care Programs (preferred).
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy (preferred).
• Referral preference given to applicants able to take and meet testing criteria.
• Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934.
