[Hiring] Client Financial Services Coordinator @Banfield Pet Hospital

Role Description

This role involves communicating with Banfield clients regarding past due payments for their Wellness Plans, NSFs, and outstanding hospital invoices.

• Handle inbound and outbound calls to obtain account information and make payment arrangements.
• Address calls related to Lost Pet and micro-chipping, hospital questions, and general Wellness Plan inquiries.
• Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
• Notify clients about delinquent accounts via telephone and email.
• Use various collections techniques to negotiate and secure payment on accounts.
• Process and document transactions (future, current, and past due).
• Troubleshoot and resolve payment and account discrepancies.
• Document calls and resolutions using appropriate systems.
• Assist hospital teams with financial information related to Wellness Plans.
• Ensure exceptional client experience in every interaction.
• Educate associates and clients on business standards for Wellness Plans.
• Maintain client privacy, security, and company confidentiality.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• One year of customer service experience (call center, retail, hospitality, etc.) is required.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively is required.
• Strong client contact handling skills and active listening skills are required.

Requirements

• Must be hardwired with a minimum 85mbs internet speed.
• Must have a quiet space to work.
• Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
• Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics, and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking English).
• Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form and solve problems involving several variables.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
• Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.

Salary Range

The starting pay rate for this role is $19.50/hour with opportunities for merit increases (salary range: $18.50 - $20.38/hour).

The pay range reflects a general hiring range for the area, with the specific rate determined based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, abilities, and education, and may vary depending on location and schedule.
