Role Description

The Care Coordinator supports patients, healthcare providers, payers, and specialty pharmacies by coordinating benefits verification, treatment access, prior authorizations, appeals, and patient support services. This role serves as a key point of contact throughout the patient journey while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring timely access to therapy.

• Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients, providers, payers, and pharmacies.
• Coordinate benefit verification, prior authorizations, appeals, and insurance support.
• Assist with patient enrollment, eligibility, affordability programs, and treatment access.
• Build strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with SOPs and privacy regulations.
• Resolve reimbursement and insurance-related issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support positive patient outcomes.
• Report adverse events and safety concerns as required.

Qualifications

• Healthcare reimbursement, insurance, billing, benefit verification, or patient services experience.
• Call center or customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmacy insurance, prior authorizations, and appeals.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Ability to multitask across multiple systems and applications.
• Typing speed of 35+ WPM preferred.
