Role Description

Do you have the attention to detail and drive to keep billing moving smoothly behind the scenes? We are seeking a dependable, entry-level Billing Specialist to support our billing team with invoice setup, client portal coordination, and day-to-day administrative support in our billing systems. This fully remote role is ideal for someone who’s organized, coachable, and comfortable learning new tools while helping resolve routine portal and documentation issues that impact invoice processing.

This is a temporary (6-month), non-billable administrative position expected to start ASAP, working 20–40 hours/week at $20/hour. Fully remote is available.

As a Billing Specialist, you will begin by supporting the billing team—helping enter invoices into internal systems, tracking and resolving client portal items, and keeping documentation organized—then take on additional billing responsibilities as you ramp up. You’ll interact with internal stakeholders and assist with ensuring invoices and portal submissions are accurate, complete, and properly recorded.

• General computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong organization, time management, and reliability in a remote environment.

Requirements

• Support the billing team with administrative tasks tied to invoice processing and billing workflows.
• Enter invoices and related billing information into internal systems accurately and on time.
• Assist with client portal tasks (uploads, confirmations, and issue triage), including tracking submission status and responding to basic portal-related problems.
• Maintain organized records of billing documentation and correspondence (including saving confirmations/screenshots when required).
• Respond to routine internal questions, route issues to the appropriate team member, and follow established processes and policies.
• Provide general clerical and account-related support such as data entry, file maintenance, and handling basic inquiries as assigned.
