Role Description

Customers sometimes need to correct the address that appears on future billing documents. The Billing Address Update Assistant handles routine authorised requests to make that change in the online account record.

• Check which address field the customer wants updated.
• Follow the employer’s verification steps and save only the permitted correction.
• Clarify the request when:
  • The customer has not said whether billing or delivery details should change.
  • The new address is incomplete under the system’s required fields.
  • The person asks for an old invoice to be reissued as well.
• After the permitted field has been changed, check that the saved address appears as intended and that unrelated details remain intact.
• Record the source and date if the process requires it.
• Confirm:
  • The correct account and field were changed.
  • The saved address matches the authorised request.
  • The customer received an appropriate acknowledgement.
• A routine task may involve:
  • Identifying the account from the supplied reference and permitted details.
  • Clarifying whether the person means billing or delivery information.
  • Applying the employer’s required requester check.
  • Entering an approved address change in the correct field.
  • Reviewing the saved record for typing errors.
  • Noting when a change is waiting for verification.
  • Sending an approved confirmation after completion.
  • Passing an invoice amendment or account dispute onward.

Qualifications

• Comfortable typing accurately and reading requests carefully.
• Ability to ask for clarification instead of guessing.
• Office administrative experience from another setting is relevant.

Requirements

• Billing experience is optional.
• A first customer support role can be a good fit for someone who checks details before making a change.
• A home office space that allows focused handling of personal details is helpful for this remote role.
