Role Description

As a Risk and Compliance intern, you'll get the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative team. You'll get to work on a variety of real business projects, build practical skills, and learn how risk and compliance help keep an organisation running smoothly.

What you will be doing:

• Monitoring shared inboxes, triaging emails and directing them to the appropriate person in the team
• Assisting with incident and issue management processes, including following up with stakeholders for additional information and to ensure that required actions have been completed prior to incident closure
• Assisting with month-end risk and compliance reporting processes, including extracting information from our risk management system, performing data analysis and adding to reporting pack
• Assisting with review and uplift of risk and compliance training materials
• Assisting with risk and compliance policy reviews
• Assisting with maintenance of and update of various specialised registers we have in our risk management system
• Assisting with assurance reviews of processes and controls

Qualifications

• Second or third year of study
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good attention to detail and an organised approach to your work
• The confidence to ask questions and engage with stakeholders across the business
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• A willingness to learn and contribute as part of a collaborative team
• An interest in risk, compliance, governance, audit, business, law, or a related field
