Role Description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for United States-based capital markets compliance professionals experienced in:

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on:

• AI-assisted trade surveillance evaluation
• Market abuse scenario review
• Compliance reasoning assessment

Selected professionals will apply domain expertise to:

• Evaluate trading scenarios
• Assess AI-generated surveillance outputs
• Identify suspicious activity patterns
• Provide structured feedback based on detailed project criteria

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in trade surveillance, market surveillance, market abuse monitoring, compliance surveillance, regulatory oversight, or related capital markets compliance roles
• Hands-on experience investigating surveillance alerts and documenting case outcomes
• Strong understanding of market abuse regulations and conduct monitoring frameworks
• Familiarity with SEC and FINRA rules, MAR, MiFID II, FCA market conduct requirements, exchange surveillance standards, or comparable regulatory frameworks
• Experience with equities, options, futures, fixed income, FX, commodities, digital assets, or multi-asset trading environments
• Ability to clearly articulate investigative reasoning and regulatory conclusions in written form
• Fluent English communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to identify subtle trading patterns, case logic issues, or surveillance gaps

Requirements

• Professional background in compliance, trade surveillance, market surveillance, regulatory oversight, financial crime, trading supervision, capital markets risk, or conduct monitoring
• Experience at investment banks, broker-dealers, exchanges, regulatory agencies, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, asset managers, or surveillance technology providers
• Formal education in finance, economics, law, business, accounting, mathematics, data analytics, compliance, or a related field
• Practical surveillance investigation experience may be considered especially important depending on project scope

Contract Details
