Role Description

This is a fully remote Compliance Reviewer position supporting a federal HUD/Ginnie Mae. You'll be conducting compliance reviews of Ginnie Mae issuers and document custodians. The role is heavily focused on mortgage servicing, loan documentation, investor reporting, and regulatory compliance within the secondary mortgage market.

Your primary responsibility will be to perform compliance testing and reviews:

• Schedule reviews with issuers or custodians
• Select loan and transaction samples for testing
• Evaluate compliance against Ginnie Mae requirements
• Document findings
• Support remediation efforts when issues are identified

Most reviews are conducted through a Ginnie Mae system, but success in the role requires strong practical knowledge of Ginnie Mae guidelines, FHA/HUD programs, and secondary mortgage market operations.

Job Duties:

• Conduct compliance testing on Issuers and Ginnie Mae Document Custodians based on risk-based criteria.
• Initiate contact with the Issuer or Document Custodian to schedule the review.
• Select the sample of loans, pools, and/or transactions to be tested.
• Conduct the compliance review.
• Perform any post-review remediation activities.
• Conduct periodic trainings for Issuers, Document Custodians, and Ginnie Mae staff on the compliance review IT system, process, and procedures.
• Perform specialized reviews throughout the year, varying in scope depending on the requirements of the review.

Qualifications

• Direct Ginnie Mae Experience
• Hands-On Compliance Testing / Review Execution
• HUD / FHA / Federal Program Experience
• Knowledge of Secondary Mortgage Market + Investor Reporting
• Training / Stakeholder Interaction Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
