This role plays a key part in managing life safety contracts, supporting investment programmes, and driving service improvements across our property portfolio.

  • Managing the delivery and performance of life safety, repairs and remedial contracts across a diverse property portfolio.

  • Supporting planned investment works, complex repairs and insurance-related projects from scoping through to completion.
  • Investigating and resolving resident concerns, complaints and property-related incidents while ensuring lessons learned drive continuous improvement.
  • Working closely with operational, housing and property teams to ensure services are delivered efficiently, compliantly and with residents' needs at the centre.
  • Monitoring contractor KPIs, managing work-in-progress levels and identifying opportunities for service improvements and cost efficiencies.

  • Experience managing contractors, monitoring performance and driving service improvements through KPIs and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build productive relationships with residents, contractors and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues, assess risks and deliver practical solutions.
  • Experience carrying out inspections, managing complex repairs and providing technical property advice.
  • HNC/HND in Building, Construction or a related discipline, or equivalent experience (desirable).
  • Membership of, or working towards, a professional qualification such as RICS or CIOB (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Benefits

  • This is an opportunity to make a tangible difference to residents' safety and wellbeing while working on a varied portfolio of properties.
  • You'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving services and helping shape future investment programmes across our homes and communities.
  • We are unable to offer sponsorship for this position. Therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate their legal right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Company Description

Anchor is England's largest not-for-profit providers of care and housing for older people. Our heartfelt ambition is to transform housing and care so everyone can have a home where they love living in later life.

  • We're not-for-profit which means every penny we make or save is invested in the people who live with us, the places they live and the people who work here.
  • That means a better standard of care and customer service, better wages, more investment in training and development and improved facilities.
