Role Description

The Tennessee Initiative for Perinatal Quality Care (TIPQC) is the state’s perinatal quality improvement collaborative. Founded in 2008 through a grant from the Governor’s Office, TIPQC brings together hospitals, clinicians, payers, families, and community partners to promote meaningful change and improve the quality of care and outcomes through pregnancy, delivery, and beyond for all Tennessee families.

In this pivotal role, you’ll develop and carry out an integrated communications plan that elevates TIPQC’s mission, increases engagement, and supports key deliverables—especially those connected to the Rural Health grant and TIPQC work plans.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders and partners across the state, including Tennessee’s 35 birth hospitals (including ongoing recruitment for TIPQC projects). You’ll also help strengthen awareness campaigns in partnership with communities focused on improving maternal and infant outcomes.

Your work will span multiple platforms and formats—website content, podcasts, social media, press releases, hospital recognition, and other outreach channels—to ensure TIPQC’s efforts are visible, clear, and compelling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of relevant communications/marketing experience

Requirements

• Website update/maintenance skills
• Podcast recording and editing experience (or strong interest and willingness to learn)
• Social media content strategy and development
• Familiarity with Canva and platforms such as Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube
