[Hiring] Programme Communications, Advocacy and Policy Consultant @AGORA

Role Description

This assignment aims to support UNICEF’s Gender Equality Action Plan 2026–2029 by strengthening programme communications, advocacy and partnerships. The consultant will:

• Develop communication and advocacy materials
• Support partner engagement and resource mobilisation
• Promote adolescent girls’ leadership, voices and rights across UNICEF and with external partners

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field
• At least 8 years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in communication, advocacy, print, broadcast and/or new media
• Fluency in English, written and verbal, is required
• Knowledge of another official UN language is an asset

Requirements

• Excellent writing skills, including experience writing on gender-related issues and knowledge products
• Ability to work independently and with an international, multicultural and interdisciplinary team
• Excellent computer skills in MS Windows, MS Office applications, SharePoint and Teamsite management
• Ability to communicate sensitively to different audiences; ability to work within tight deadlines

• Academic credentials in gender
• International work experience
• Public and private sector experience
• Expertise in international development, humanitarian response and/or the gender equality ecosystem
• Experience with UNICEF
• Experience in an international agency, UN or international institution
• Experience in developing-country contexts; knowledge of UNICEF/UN systems
