Role Description

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong network and track record within the ITAD, IT recycling, refurbishment or technology resale sector? Are you confident opening doors, speaking with senior decision-makers and turning new relationships into significant commercial opportunities? This is an opportunity to join a growing business where you will have the autonomy to build your own pipeline, win new clients and play a key role in driving growth within the ITAD market.

As Senior Business Development Manager, your focus will be on new business development and strategic relationship building. You will be responsible for identifying target organisations, creating opportunities from scratch and managing the complete sales process from initial prospecting through to contract negotiation and close.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a new business / hunter-style BDM role.
• Experience within ITAD, IT recycling, IT refurbishment, electronics resale, technology lifecycle or a closely related sector.
• A strong understanding of the ITAD market and the ability to speak confidently with customers about their requirements.
• A proven track record of generating your own leads and converting them into revenue.
• Experience selling to senior decision-makers and managing complex, consultative sales processes.
• The confidence and persistence to open doors and develop relationships from cold.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• The ability to manage longer sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
• A self-motivated and proactive approach, with the drive to build and own your own pipeline.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.

Requirements

• Identify and target new business opportunities within the ITAD and wider technology lifecycle market.
• Proactively prospect through outbound calling, email, networking, referrals and industry events.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers within target organisations.
• Develop and manage a strong, high-value sales pipeline.
• Take ownership of the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to negotiation and closing.
• Understand customer requirements and position the company's ITAD solutions effectively.
• Build long-term, strategic relationships with new and existing stakeholders.
• Manage longer and more complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and successfully close larger-value opportunities.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity information within the CRM.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from winning the business through to delivery.
