Role Description

Deeplocal is seeking a New Business Strategist with a self-starter attitude, desire to succeed, and exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills. This person is Deeplocal's "door opener" and will be responsible for the challenging task of prospecting and procuring new brand clients that align with the strategic growth objectives of the business.

• Identify potential customers and understand their unique business needs.
• Articulate how Deeplocal can address those needs effectively.
• Work on high-profile accounts and become an expert in the client’s business.
• Build trust and respect with clients, pushing back when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Brand Representation: Learn and demonstrate a strong understanding of Deeplocal’s capabilities, process, and positioning within the industry.
• Prospecting and Strategy: Analyze market conditions, identify target customer segments, and create a comprehensive plan to reach and convert potential customers.
• Pitching: Present Deeplocal’s offering compellingly to win new work and build enthusiasm for the brand.
• Client Communication: Bring insight-driven, strategic thinking to conversations with new client prospects.
• Relationship Strengthening: Meet with existing clients to brainstorm potential projects and energize them about possibilities.
• Strategic Selling: Help sell concepts and experiences that make sense for both the client and Deeplocal.
• Business Brief Development for Pitches: Write creative briefs and lead conversations with prospective clients.
• Pitch Deck Review: Provide input and review pitch decks and budgets, ensuring accuracy and error-free presentation.
• Request for Proposal (RFP) Procurement & Oversight: Manage the RFP process for exceptional and timely delivery.
• CRM Management: Maintain an organized process for capturing and tracking sales leads within Deeplocal’s CRM platform.
• Reporting and Analysis: Provide weekly reporting on new leads, upcoming meetings, and conduct post-mortem analyses of closed deals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a relevant field, and/or 2-4 years working in a related role.
• Engaging communication style in front of clients and teammates.
• Ability to bring sharp strategic insights and build coherent narratives.
• Technically minded, able to explain complex concepts.
• Confidence in making creative decisions and giving/receiving feedback.
• Excited by new challenges and bringing a growth mindset.
• Comfortable with developing and implementing strategies.
• Aptitude to lead and project manage new business pitches.
• Highly organized with exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.
• Willingness to work extended hours and on weekends when necessary.
• Proficiency with software tools including Google Workspace, email marketing platforms, and CRMs.

Location

This position is open to remote candidates outside of Pittsburgh, PA, but candidates must be willing to travel to Pittsburgh and/or client locations as required for training and business development efforts.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is $85,000 - $125,000 USD. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors.
