[Hiring] Director, Corporate Development & M&A Integration @Vertex Inc.

Role Description

• Lead strategic assessment of markets, technologies, and acquisition opportunities aligned with Vertex growth objectives.
• Develop and maintain M&A pipeline, target prioritization frameworks, and investment theses.
• Partner with executive leadership to define inorganic growth strategy and capital deployment priorities.
• Lead acquisition sourcing efforts and relationship management with investment bankers, advisors, and prospective targets.
• Direct financial modeling, valuation analysis, business case development, and investment recommendations.
• Present acquisition opportunities, risks, and strategic rationale to executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders.
• Lead transaction structuring discussions and support negotiations throughout deal execution.
• Oversee due diligence strategy, governance, and functional workstreams.
• Serve as executive sponsor for priority transactions and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Strategy, or related discipline.
• MBA strongly preferred.

Requirements

• 10-15+ years of progressive experience in:

Benefits

• US Base Salary Range: $189,600.00 - $246,400.00
• Base pay offered to new hires may vary based upon factors including relevant industry and job-related skills and experience, geographic location, and business needs.
• This role may be eligible for the Vertex Bonus Plan (VOB), a role-specific sales commission/bonus, and/or equity grants.
