[Hiring] China Market Intelligence & Commercial Lead @EUPD Research Sustainable Management GmbH

Role Description

We are looking for a China Market Intelligence & Commercial Lead to drive business development in China, build senior industry relationships, and provide the European headquarters with a clear understanding of the Chinese market. This is not a traditional sales role. We are looking for someone who combines industry knowledge, commercial capability, strong relationships, and market intelligence.

• Drive the commercial development and sales of our market intelligence, research and consulting solutions in China.
• Develop and maintain relationships with leading companies and senior decision-makers across the PV and energy storage value chain, including modules, batteries, inverters, PCS, and ESS.
• Monitor Chinese market developments, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging trends to identify new business opportunities.
• Translate customer and market insights into recommendations for new research products, consulting solutions, and commercial opportunities.
• Represent the company at major solar PV, energy storage, and renewable energy conferences and industry events in China and internationally.
• Work closely with the European headquarters and global team, connecting Chinese market insights with international market developments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solar PV, energy storage, renewable energy, market intelligence, consulting, strategy, or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of the Chinese PV and energy storage value chain and key market players.
• Established relationships and network within the Chinese renewable energy industry; access to senior decision-makers is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in B2B business development, consulting, research, or data-driven solution sales.
• Strong commercial mindset, analytical ability, and communication skills.
• Active, hands-on use of AI and automation tools in daily work, paired with a genuine interest in continuously improving and streamlining processes.
• Fluent Mandarin and excellent professional English.
• Comfortable working in an international, English-speaking environment.
• Willingness to travel frequently within China and internationally.
• Experience in industry conferences, panels, speaking engagements, or media is a strong plus.
