Role Description

Initio Capital is recruiting an experienced Business Development Representative - Payroll for a part-time role focused on payroll and workforce administration. This opening serves business customers in the San Francisco Bay Area and other assigned markets.

You will help business owners evaluate relevant partner offerings. This is a role with Initio Capital.

The role involves:

• Working a company-provided lead list of newly formed businesses and other qualified accounts.
• Making outbound calls to founders and business owners to explain relevant partner offerings and identify fit, timing, and decision-makers.
• Asking clear discovery questions about payroll and workforce administration and documenting the customer need accurately.
• Arranging a qualified next step with the relevant provider or internal team and following through on agreed actions.
• Maintaining accurate CRM records, call outcomes, objections, pipeline stages, and follow-up dates.
• Using approved messaging and company-provided outreach tools, following calling requirements, and respecting opt-outs.
• Sharing recurring objections and lead-quality feedback to improve targeting and qualification.

Qualifications

• Prior BDR, SDR, inside sales, or outbound business development experience selling payroll, HR, employer services, workforce management, or integrated back-office software.
• Confidence calling business owners and explaining practical product benefits without overstating them.
• A record of disciplined outbound calling, discovery, qualification, and reliable CRM follow-through.
• Ability to commit to agreed part-time calling blocks during the target market's business hours.
• A quiet calling environment, reliable internet connection, and clear professional communication.
• Ability to take on outside work without breaching an existing employment agreement or creating a conflict of interest.

Requirements

• This is a remote, part-time position. You do not need to leave your current job.
• Calling hours and workload will be agreed in advance to fit the availability you can reliably commit.
• The fixed pay range is $3,000 to $8,000 per month, depending on experience, agreed hours, and scope.
